We are looking for a driven and passionate professional curious about the intersection of technology and asset management. During your time with us, you will contribute to the development and design of our next-generation portfolio management and fund operations system, integrating cutting-edge fintech, data automation, and process efficiency. Working alongside our dynamic team, you will refine workflows, enhance data accuracy, and contribute to game-changing solutions that set us apart in the industry.
We welcome candidates from all disciplines with basic knowledge of finance or asset management and a strong passion for using technology to transform the industry. Responsibilities
- Industry & Technology Research: Conduct independent research on fund management and brokerage systems, focusing on how technology enhances portfolio and fund operations. Present key findings, address outstanding questions, and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to explore innovative solutions.
- Portfolio & Transaction Analysis: Develop a strong understanding of multi-asset portfolio management, including transaction mechanisms, short-selling, margining, borrowing, Profit & Loss calculations etc. Analyse transaction reports and portfolio structures to support the design of a more efficient fund operations system, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and seamless integration across various platforms.
- Fund Operations & System Development: Assist in implementing the fund operations processes/platforms by drafting proposals, refining workflows, mapping data fields, and coordinating with external vendors to enhance operational efficiency.
- Adaptability & Growth: Take on additional tasks as needed, contributing to the firm’s evolving requirements.
Essential to Have
- Relevant Finance Knowledge: We welcome applicants from all disciplines with an interest or passion to learn about fund management. If you have a background in finance, fintech, economics, accounting, or business, along with a basic understanding of finance, portfolio management, or financial operations, it’s definitely a plus but not a requirement—what matters most is a willingness to learn and engage with the industry.
- Curious Attitude: Willing to explore and learn while being comfortable with uncertainty.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present findings clearly and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.). Knowledge of Python, SQL, PowerBI, or Tableau is preferred but not a requirement.
- Tech-Savviness: Comfortable using digital tools for task management (e.g., Asana, Slack, Dropbox, Zoom) and quick to learn new technological tools.
